Laser

The laser diode serves as a light source for interference experiments. It is supplied with voltage via a cable so that the laser diode can be switched on and off. There are two versions of the power supply, which are explained in more detail here.

Circuit diagram

The circuit diagram shows the electrical connection between a laser diode and a barrel connector. The laser diode is shown on the left, which is connected to the barrel connector via two connections. This serves as a connection for the battery box. The circuit makes it possible to supply the laser diode with power.

Special Features

Strain relief

When assembling the laser module, ensure that the laser diode is provided with strain relief.

The driver board of the laser diode is sensitive and can easily break off the diode under load, making it difficult to re-solder. To protect the circuit board, the entire laser diode is glued into the 11A_Si_V*_laser_strain_relief holder with hot glue.

Experiments
